English Stand-Up at Comedy Club 13 is back! This season we are bringing some of the highest quality acts from all over europe, as well as showcasing the best of the local swiss comedy scene right in the heart of Lausanne!This show's headliner is Ivan Semashev !
Ivan Semashev is a comedian, actor, and producer based in Basel, Switzerland. While starting out in theatre, he dove into stand-up comedy in 2018 and has been pursuing it ever since. He has performed in English and Russian at shows throughout Europe and occasionally outside of it, most notably at clubs like ComedyHaus in Zürich, the Comedy Clubhouse in Barcelona, or The Classic Comedy Club in Auckland. He is the co-creator and organiser of Otter Comedy in Basel, where he regularly hosts and performs, as well as a resident host at Comedy Club 13. He has shared the stage with and opened for many international acts, such as Michelle Wolf, Matt Richardson, April Macie, Peter Flanagan, Sammy Obeid, Red Richardson, and Victor Patrascan.
Ivan is energetic, passionate, and has a vast sense of humour - from contemporary satire, to personal family anecdotes (some of which may even veer into some darker places). Whatever the topic is, be prepared to be taken on an emotional roller coaster of laughs!
