Dear Croatian Culture Lovers! For November we have organized an English Guiding Tour for the Exhibition *The mystery of the Fortezza master – the European heritage of the Šibenik engraver* ,
*Tuesday, 5.11. at 1 p.m. , Klovićevi dvori Gallery*.
The topic will include original views and graphic representations of the city of Šibenik and Dalmatia of that time, his contemporaries - cartographers and graphic artists Martin Kolunić Rota and Natale Bonifac, as well as the context of wartime events and the proximity of the Ottoman Empire.
Visitors will be able to see the first dated and signed plate of Fortezza's Orations from the British Museum in London, which is certainly one of Fortezza's most impressive works, both because of the complex iconography and the interesting symbolism of the display, as well as the mention of Master Stephanus.
