Join our next English Conversation Club on November 18 at 5 pm for an engaging discussion on religion in the United States, led by Luke Larson, Visiting Fellow at Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC). Luke, who is originally from Minnesota, has been connected to the American Corner community for years — as a former English teacher in Kisvárda, guest speaker at our events, and returning friend of AC Debrecen. We’ll talk about the separation of church and state, faith in politics and education, as well as the current American pope, among other fascinating aspects of religion and American life. From megachurches to small-town congregations, from public debates to private beliefs, religion plays a complex role in shaping American society. Don’t miss this chance to join a lively conversation, share your thoughts, ask questions, and explore how faith continues to influence culture, identity, and everyday life in the U.S.
N.B. Due to renovation works at the American Corner, this event will be held in the "Szivárvány" Room, which is located in the back of the Children's Library on the ground floor.
