King Beyond the Wall & Red October League Event (UKTC RTT)
Saturday, 31st January 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Engines of War, a 2000-point Warhammer 40,000 tournament hosted by Red October Games as part of the King Beyond the Wall & Red October League.
This one-day UKTC RTT features three rounds of competitive play using UKTC missions, layouts, and terrain on 60" x 44" tables.
2. Schedule and Timings

3. Player Cap
The event will accommodate up to 30 players. This may be increased if demand is high—stay tuned to our social media for updates.
4. Army Composition
Armies must be 2000 points and Battle-Forged.
Army lists must be uploaded to the BCP app no later than 9:00 pm, Tuesday 28th January 2026.
Any late submissions may incur a -10 VP penalty in your first game.
Bring a printed or digital copy of your list. Opponents have the right to review your list.
TOs may review lists if disputes arise. Illegal lists will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
5. Tournament Format
Round 1 pairings will be random.
Pairings and scoring will be managed via the BCP app.
If matched against a player you've already faced, notify a TO for adjustment.
Ties will be resolved based on sportsmanship and theme votes.
This event counts as a Red October League RTT and contributes to the King Beyond the Wall standings.
6. Terrain
All tables will be 60" x 44" and will use UKTC terrain layouts.
Terrain will be laid out as per the mission in the UKTC terrain layout [here].
Do not move pieces unless agreed by both players.
Clarify terrain functions before the game starts. TOs are available for clarification if needed.
7. Painting & Modelling
Fully painted armies are encouraged but not required.
Unpainted or partially painted armies will not incur a penalty.
Conversions, kitbashes, and third-party models are allowed, as long as they clearly represent the correct unit. If in doubt, please clarify with us directly via a Facebook private message before the event.
No proxies (e.g., a Tactical Marine cannot represent a Terminator).
All models must be on appropriately sized round/oval bases.
Best Painted Army:
Layout your army at lunchtime on one side of a table with a piece of paper displaying your name.
Each entrant will vote for their 1st and 2nd best painted army.
Your army must be fully Battle Ready and have a theme to be considered.

9. Scoring & Prizes
Results will be entered via BCP.
Prizes:
1st Place: £25 store credit
2nd Place: £15 store credit
3rd Place: £10 store credit
Best Painted Army: £10 store credit
Trophies will also be awarded.
Prizes will be sent via E-Gift Card after the event.
10. Missions
Games will use the UKTC mission pack and terrain layouts.
Missions will be announced no later than Wednesday, 29th January 2026.
Tables will be 60" x 44" using official UKTC layouts.
11. Game Timing
Each game is 2 hours 30 minutes.
Games not completed by the time limit (plus 5 minutes) will be scored from the last completed turn.
Do not start a new turn if you’re unsure it can be finished in time.
Accusations of time-wasting will be reviewed by a TO. Observations and rulings will be final.
12. Sportsmanship & Conduct
Players are encouraged to resolve any rule disputes between themselves before calling for a TO.
TO rulings are final.
Fair play and good sportsmanship are expected.
Any abusive or disruptive behavior (bullying, yelling, etc.) will result in removal without refund.
Light banter is welcome—just keep it respectful.

Lunch: 12:00–13:00 (not included)
Hot food, snacks, and drinks are available from The Tavern.
Only food and drink purchased on site may be consumed.
The Tavern:
Licensed bar with affordable drinks (alcoholic, soft, hot)
No outside drinks allowed
Please drink responsibly. Disruptive behavior will result in removal
