ENGAGING BOYS OF COLOR IN SCHOOL: STRATEGIES FOR EDUCATORS TO PROMOTE HIGH ACHIEVEMENT
In U.S. schools, educators continue to struggle in how to effectively teach and promote high achievement for boys of color. In every state, Boys of Color receive the highest discipline referrals and have the lowest overall academic achievement. Most importantly, this is not the fault of these students! Unfortunately, educators have not been properly trained on how to create engaging classrooms that promote high achievement and reduce discipline issues for this population. As a result, countless Boys of Color have been suspended, expelled and misdiagnosed for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Behavior Disorders (BD) and Learning Disabilities (LD).
Now is the time to utilize the high-energy of Boys of Color and create engaging classrooms that actually promote high-engagement and high-achievement of this population. Come and learn how to create Culturally Relevant classrooms that will transform academic outcomes for these students and their respective schools. Are you ready to receive real evidence-based strategies and solutions that can be implemented starting tomorrow?
