Spring 2026: Community in Focus
The City of West Allis and the Community Impact Partnership and Foundation are hosting a five-session leadership workshop to provide West Allis residents and business owners with an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and explore real community challenges. Each session will focus on a key issue impacting the city, offering participants the opportunity to work alongside community leaders, organizations, and residents to develop practical ideas, pilot concepts, or strategic recommendations. Session themes will include:
- Increasing Civic Involvement
- Youth Voice and Intergenerational Leadership
- Housing Stability and Community Care
- Public Gathering Places and the Power of “Third Spaces”
- Economic Opportunity and Small Business Vitality
The sessions will be held on Thursdays, Feb. 19, 26, Mar. 5, 12, and 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Aurora West Allis, 8901 W. Lincoln Ave. Registration required: https://westalliswi.portal.opengov.com/categories/1088/record-types/6889
Registration is open to West Allis residents/business owners and will be limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions will consist of presentations, discussion panels, and interactive small group work. Please be sure you can commit to all 5 sessions in this series before registering.
