About this Event

We are buzzing about an upcoming event that's all about bringing people together to make our community even better. Engage! (Winter/ Autumn 2024) is back!

Cambridge City Council, CCVS and local voluntary sector organisations are teaming up for a fun afternoon filled with talks, networking and health project showcases, all focused on how we can work together more effectively.

Here's what's in store:

First, we'll kick off with Sandie Smith for the Voluntary Sector Network - leading a chat on why collaboration rocks, followed by a group brainstorm on local collaboration opportunities and training needs, with a quick update from the City Council's grants team

Next, it's time to mingle and network with folks from projects funded by the Assura Grants and our very own Health Discovery Programme. Come and find out about our new Men's Health project and a brand new intergenerational walking project based on creating and digitalizing community maps with the fabulous sheltered housing team. Plus, you'll get to add your community events for the next six months on a giant calendar!

And for the grand finale.. drum roll please.. we'll dive into the headline findings from two surveys of 1000 + local young people carried out over the summer and learn what they think about life in Cambridge. It's a chance to figure out how we can collectively pledge to support young people and together, tackle some of the issues they've raised.

Who is this event for?

This event is for local organisations, community group representatives, and volunteers in Cambridge and its surrounding areas. It's an ideal opportunity for those involved in community outreach, community event planning, and social prescribing to connect, collaborate, and share insights.
