Energy is around us, and within us. Meditation teaches us how to center our inner energy, and movement of the physical body shows us energy in motion. In yoga energy is called prana meaning life force, in Chinese medicine it’s called qi, and in dance energy is called flow. In all forms of holistic practice we can channel our own energy through a guided practice. More specifically dance can awaken a form of energy that is led by intuitive creative expression using the body and the mind as one in a state of flow using rhythm and song. This class will focus on cultivating your own energy from within and expanding the energy outward using dance as a tool for exploration. The class will begin with a guided meditation and will then lead into a guided movement practice and modalities. Join Michelle in an exploration of movement and meditation to awaken your inner energy.
