---- This event will take place online ----
Cities are responsible for 70% of the planet’s carbon dioxide emissions. Therefore, they play a central role when it comes to efforts on global decarbonisation and pushing forward the local energy transition. In the lead-up to the global climate conference COP26 in Glasgow, a two-day hackathon will bring together young talents from Switzerland and the UK.
How to monitor and analyze temperatures and heat-spots in our cities? How efficient would it be to grow vegetables industrially but locally? How can we exploit the innovation potential in companies?
At the Energy & Climate Hacks on 31 Aug. and 1 Sept. 2021 in Bern, we will explore these questions and others in multidisciplinary teams.
The Hacks are open to all interested individuals and students willing to work creatively on energy and climate issues for two days as software developers, designers, data analysts, project developers or with any skill relevant to the topic.
The best projects will be presented during the Decarbonising Cities conference taking place in parallel.
Join us on 31 Aug. and 1 Sept. 2021 in Bern!
