Hello, yellow! What do you spy? It’s a yellow bird, up in the sky! It’s a butterfly, in a banana tree! It’s a sunflower, with a bumblebee! It’s a bright day, and the vibe is high, and all the yellow buddies have mile-wide smiles. ¿Por qué? you may say - well, today is about the Endymi-US way! We’ll paint the town yellow, we’ll flood our streets with gold(en shades!), we’ll remind the neighborhood that Mardi Gras should be free and cheesy, not bought by big krewes where the dollars flow easy. Today is about the chick-a-dees and buttercups, those playful shining stars, and it should be about upcycling costumes, not stacking our landfills to Mars!
So raid your trash, maybe bring a little cash (donations for Wits End & Panorama), and don your boldest yellow sash. Sun-splash over in your rain boots at 11 for potluck-heaven; line up after, cause this yellow submarine (of a handmade parade) rolls at 2pm. Don’t forget to invite a school-bus load of the littlest goldfish and duckies you know. This mellow yellow event is truly for the kiddos and their big hearts, so if they want to get involved, walk on stilts or make some art, let us know!
Come on and bellow — everything is yellow!
