Sometimes, creating a compelling end to your story is difficult. You need to wrap up loose ends, keep the reader hanging on to your every word, and evoke emotions that will carry on with your reader after they put your book back on the shelf. So how do you do it?
Instructors Patricia Flaherty-Pagan and Jessica Raney will teach you how to craft a resonant ending that ties up your story in the most satisfying of ends. Join us for this three-hour session, and leave with the know-how to finish your work.
Patricia Flaherty-Pagan lives in a brown house near the sea with her family and three mischievous rescue cats. She is the award-winning author of Trail Ways Pilgrims and Enduring Spirit: Stories and her flash fiction has been published in journals such as Cleaver Magazine, The Ocotillo Review, The Sirens Call, and is forthcoming in The Fabulist. Flaherty-Pagan counts herself fortunate to have run feminist indie publisher Spider Road Press for a decade and she is a proud member of the Horror Writers Association, Sisters in Crime, and the Salem Writers.
Jessica Raney grew up in the hills of southeastern Ohio looking for the Mothman and every other thing that goes bump in the dark Appalachian night. These days she resides in Houston, Texas and translates her love of Appalachia and dark things into stories that combine crime, fantasy, and horror into Appalachian Supernatural Noir. Her genre-blending series, Tooth and Nail showcases her love of all things creepy and quirky. When not writing, she’s navigating Houston traffic and enjoying the Gulf Coast with a weird little dog named Gimli.
