About this Event
God’s heart is to see people achieve personal and lasting freedom, healing & wholeness. Encounter is a weekend (Thursday evening to Saturday evening) set aside to focus on learning to live free – free from habits, bondages and past failures. Jesus said “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed” (John 8:31-36). Encounter covers certain topics and areas which are very sensitive. Our Restoration Centre team are well-trained and experienced having helped many Christians overcome spiritual obstacles sensitively and carefully. Teaching sessions and extended corporate times of ministry that involve prayer declarations, deliverance and deep level healing are all part of the weekend.
A Pre-Encounter Personal Profile is a large form which you will need to complete as fully and as honestly as you can before the weekend, at least one month in advance of the weekend. The form will encourage you to disclose some information that may be sensitive and difficult. You should be aware that anything you disclose will remain in the strictest of confidence and is only required for the purpose of providing healing and restoration to the areas of your life that have been wounded. It may help to have a close family member or friend to help you. In addition, the Holy Spirit will bring things to your mind to assist with the completion of the form. This is to help you enter into the fulness of your experience with God and to have fruitful and an exciting Christian life.
A Pre-Encounter initial meeting will be set up prior to the weekend itself. This is a time for you to meet with an Encounter team member assigned to you to discuss your profile form with you in order to build a plan for what specific ministry they may facilitate for you through the weekend.
NB. Your Encounter Profile form will need to be submitted 4 weeks prior to the Encounter Weekend. For this reason, booking for this weekend will close on 31st July.

What is the format of the weekend?
Thursday evening: warfare prayer and deliverance evening
Friday day time: multiple sessions and extended ministry times
Saturday day time: multiple sessions and extended ministry times. We end the day with a buffet meal together.
Should my pastor be aware that I am attending this event?
It is always recommended that you are a regular church attender and that your pastors are notified of your intention to come to the Encounter Weekend. You should seek their covering as there may be need for them to follow up any ministry that you receive.
Is there an age limit to enter the event?
Delegates are to be 16 years and over.
What are parking options for the event? What are the facilities like?
There is ample free car parking at the mill (watch out for puddles) The mill building is old and at the end of a lane. Once in the building and you have found your way to Soul City Church, facilities are warm. There are no disabled toilets. There is a mill lift (please inform us if you will need assistance with this).
Is there childcare provided?
There is no childcare provided for this event. Please do not bring babies and infants.
