About this Event
Step into a stylish journey through time as History Fort Lauderdale presents “En Vogue: A Florida Fashion Retrospective”, a new exhibition featuring historic photographs, garments and accessories popularized throughout the 20th century. The showcase invites visitors to explore how clothing reflected and influenced cultural change and everyday life. The exhibition will be on view from March 5 through April 19, 2026, with a special opening reception on Thursday, March 5, from 6–8 p.m.
“Fashion tells the story of who we were, how we lived, and how society evolved,” said Patricia Zeiler, executive director of History Fort Lauderdale. “En Vogue allows visitors to see history through a new lens, one defined by style, culture, and creativity.”
Through archival images and period fashion, En Vogue explores how clothing reflected changing societal norms, cultural influences, and evolving identities across a century. The exhibition features photographs from iconic, historic South Florida retail locations such as Hartley's - Miami and Fort Lauderdale (located in the old Sunrise Shopping Center, now Galleria Fort Lauderdale), and Margo Fashions and Dagmar Fashions on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
Drinks and light bites will be provided.
