Originally formed in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, the band later relocated to Pecos, Texas—where their name was inspired by the railroad work some of the members once did.
They specialize in norteño-sax, a subgenre that blends the accordion and saxophone to create a signature sound. Some of their most popular hits include "El Columpio," "Te Quiero Mucho," "Amor Prohibido," "No le Digas a Nadie," "En la Puerta de Esa Casa," "Una Aventura," and "Copa Sin Vino." Los Rieleros del Norte continue to tour and record, showcasing their iconic sound to audiences worldwide.
