Having fought back at the last event to regain a hold on the “valley of the three cojones” the French forces plan to launch a strong attack to gain full control of this vital communications route.The logistics are in place and this war for the control of Spain will take place on 21st - 22nd June 2025 at Bristol independent Gamers (BIG).
There are 28 places available. 14 Allied players and 14 French players.
I intend to keep it simple, a doubles event, using 110 point armies based on David Hunter’s excellent “Cerro Manteca” lists on this forum.
Allied forces consist of any of the armies of Spain, Portugal and Great Britain and for the French any of their armies or the troops of their allies that fought in Spain and Portugal.
The cost is £20 per player for the weekend. To secure a place, please PayPal me (friends and family) the £20 at [email protected], adding a note that it is for “En Avant” and giving your name. Please also send me a private message on messenger, letting me know that you’ve sent the money, who your partner is if you’ve already arranged this and what army you’ll be using for the weekend.
If you haven’t got a suitable partner I’ll arrange one for you and there will be a couple of armies to borrow if you fancy attending but haven’t got the appropriate troops available.
If you pull out of the event having paid, the £20 is not refundable. All of the money is going to BIG.
I’ll accept the first 28 applicants and return the money to anybody who applies after that, but I will keep a reserve list open, because somebody always drops out!!
We live in difficult times. If for any reason we can’t hold the event I propose giving all of the money to BIG.
