Welcome to the EMSA Approved Preventive Health Practices for Child Care event!
This is the 8-hour course that is required by Community Care Licensing in order to become a licensed family childcare provider. The course includes:
- Lead Poisoning Prevention
- Recognition, management & prevention of infectious disease
- Sanitary Food Handling
- Child Nutrition
- Identification and reporting of signs and symptoms of child abuse
- Immunizations
- Prevention of childhood injuries
- Emergency preparedness & evacuation
- Caring for children with special needs
PART 1: Tuesday, February10th, 2026 , From 5:00PM - 9:00PM
PART 2: Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, From 5:00PM - 9:00PM
All participants must register here and fully complete all required questions. Any incomplete registrations will be unenrolled.
(This registration covers both days.)
Important Note: This is a two-part training. Attendance at both sessions is required to receive a certificate. No make-ups will be allowed for any portion of this training.
Please plan to arrive early or on time, as late admittance will not be permitted. Doors will open 10 minutes before the training begins and will be locked at 5:15 PM.
No children are allowed at this training.
This training is presented in English, and full comprehension of English is required to attend.
