Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and craftspeople in cities and towns around the world to raise money for food-related charities to care for and feed the hungry in their communities. As a follow up to our 2023 Build-A-Bowl event, we are hoping to create this tradition in Midland.
With admission ticket you receive a meal of soup, bread and dessert from local businesses PLUS a one-of-a-kind handcrafted bowl by local artisans. This will be a strolling event within the Brick Lobby at Midland Center for the Arts. Tables and chairs will be provided for guests to enjoy food, music, and conversation.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Midland County Food Assistance Network.
Bowls are generously made by artists from Midland Center's Studio School, Creative 360, Space Studios, Midland Public Schools, Windover High School, and Studio 23, with soups donated by Midland Country Club, Café Zinc, Aster, One Eighteen, Emily Mai's Pho & More, Proper Taco, Windover High School/The ReGrow Together Program, Brinstar, and more.
Sponsored by Michigan Sugar, Corteva Agriscience, and Health Advantage Credit Union.
