Emptiness of the Eight Extremes - Day Course
in person | livestream for members
Emptiness is the way things really are. It is the way things exist as opposed to the way they appear… There is no greater method for experiencing peace of mind and happiness than to understand and meditate on emptiness.”
– Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
Of all Buddha’s teachings, none are more far-reaching and transformative than his teachings on emptiness and the emptiness the eight extremes; Buddha’s profound explanation of the real nature of these eight ways that we grasp at our world. Through understanding the emptiness of the eight extremes: the lack of inherently existent: production, disintegration, impermanence, permanence, going, coming, singularity and plurality, we can let go of our grasping of the world around us and the subsequent suffering that arises from that grasping. In this way we can then come to solve all our problems, fulfil all of our wishes for peace and happiness, and be of maximum benefit to others.
Join our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Kunden for this special meditation course, suitable for all levels, to deepen our wisdom understanding emptiness.
Each session will consist of short teachings, prayers and meditations with refreshments between sessions.
This course is suitable for all levels of experience. No previous experience of meditation or Buddhist teachings is required. Everyone is welcome!
