About this Event
The first drum we hear is our mother’s heartbeat in the womb. Human beings are wired for rhythm and can benefit greatly from recreational experiences with drums.
Come join Trained HealthRhythms Facilitator and Kentucky Teaching Artist, Roberta Schultz for a drum circle experience and a research-based discussion about how incorporating recreational drumming into your church, community group, school, or staff retreat activities can increase well-being.
• Take Home: Song lyrics and links to drumming songs composed by the workshop leader with permission to use them as well as best practice handouts.
• Notes: Wear comfortable clothing so you can drum.Join in a drumming class to empower the body and soul with the percussive sounds of numerous types of drums led by expert instructor artist, Roberta Scultz.
**Participants will take home: the whimsical words and special sound links to songs composed by facilitator for their own drum circles after the class has ended.
Attendees will also received one circle sound shape with a mallet to start your drum collection.**
Dress comfortably for drumming and some movement.
All Levels are welcome, Beginner, drums are provided
