We’re thrilled to announce that Annie Grogan, Director of the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center, will join us as our guest speaker for the February ABWA meeting!

Annie will share insights on how the Women’s Business Center supports female entrepreneurs with mentorship, funding resources, and networking opportunities. You’ll also hear inspiring success stories and learn how to take advantage of these invaluable resources to grow your business.



Annie Grogan Biography

Annie Grogan is the Director for the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center, a program under the Jacksonville Chamber Foundation. Annie is a successful human resources and economic development professional. She began her professional work years as a commissioned U.S. Army Officer and served 10 years of active-duty service working in logistics roles. After her military career, Annie embarked on a 23-year career in Human Resources Management in top Fortune 500 companies such as Fannie Mae, Pepsi Cola, Best Buy and Coach, Inc.

In her recent working years, Annie’s roles have focused on local economic development, working with nonprofits and government agencies supporting northeast Florida. As a Business Consultant for the Small Business Development Center at UNF, Annie was the first consultant assigned to introduce and support SBDC services to Clay and Baker counties. As Marketing and Outreach Specialist for the North Florida District Small Business Administration office she supported a 43-county area during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. In those roles she provided direct business consulting and education on small business concepts, programs, and resources to small business owners.

Among her community distinctions, she is a 2015 Jacksonville Business Journal - Woman of Influence; The 2015 Jacksonville Jaguars Hispanic Leader of the year, and a 2016 Leadership Jacksonville alum. She has served as board member to the North Florida March of Dimes, Volunteers in Medicine, the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Jacksonville Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
