The Human Relations Council (HRC) is dedicated to fostering a culture of fairness, inclusion, and equal access to opportunities for everyone who lives, works, plays, and gathers in the City of Dayton.
The HRC fulfills its mission through a full-time staff and a ten-member Board of Directors.
Its key responsibilities include: Enforcing civil rights protections; Providing business and technical support to minority-owned, woman-owned, and small disadvantaged businesses; Leading community relations initiatives to promote peace, goodwill, and harmony; Reducing inter-group tensions; and Ensuring equal treatment and opportunities for all.
Through these efforts, the HRC works to build a more just and inclusive Dayton community.
