This comprehensive program is designed to support military children facing unique challenges, such as anxiety and substance use by fostering strong family connections. Tailored for the specific needs of military families, this program combines education, counseling, and engaging activities to empower children and their families. By addressing anxiety, and substance use concerns, and emphasizing family communication, we aim to empower the next generation of resilient and thriving individuals within the military community. Objectives
- Introduce anxiety in various forms.
- Outline strategies and implementation for parents and professionals to assist in dealing with children and adolescents with anxiety and crisis(es).
- Recognizing when someone may be struggling.
- Understanding that reducing access to lethal means for those at risk is an effective prevention tool.
- Identify current drug trends, challenges, and perspectives related to the treatment of adolescent substance use disorders.
- Describe evidence-based treatment approaches for treating adolescent substance use disorders.
