About this Event
This forum is a dedicated space to explore how we can better support vulnerable individuals in gaining meaningful, sustainable employment. We recognise that barriers to work can be complex and deeply personal—whether someone is in remission from drug or alcohol dependence, has recently left Pr*son, lives with a disability, or faces long-term unemployment, has care responsibilities, or social isolation, this event brings together employers, support services, and community leaders to share solutions and offer direct support.
What to Expect
Through collaboration with employers, support organisations, and lived experience voices, this event will:
- Inspiring talks from organisations making a difference
- Practical workshops focused on overcoming employment barriers
- Networking with employers and support providers
- Access to funding, training, and wellbeing resources
- Real stories from individuals who’ve successfully transitioned into work
- Highlight inclusive employment practices and success stories
- Share practical pathways to training, funding, and job readiness
- Offer direct access to services that support wellbeing, confidence, and skills
- Create a safe, welcoming environment for individuals to explore opportunities
Together, we’ll explore how collaboration, compassion, and innovation can unlock potential and build a fairer, more inclusive workforce. We’ll challenge stigma, build understanding, and promote a more inclusive workforce—where everyone has the chance to thrive.
