mpowered to Advocate: Transgender, nonbinary, gender diverse people, their loved ones, and allies are invited to Empowered to Advocate!Participants will learn how to promote public policies and support systems that are supportive of trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse people in their local communities as well as how to stand up to evolving hate groups that are taking aim at them.
This particular class will present the impact of “Artivism” and the power of the arts in social justice work as well as how all different styles of activism are impactful in a landscape of uncertainty. Join presenters Ryan Fontaine, the trans policy and education lead from Thundermist Health Center and Jocelyn Foye, the Executive Director of The Womxn Project Education Fund.
