Are you, or someone you know, expecting in 2025? ✨Ora Feeding, a lactation and infant feeding practice that serves the 5 boroughs, Westchester & beyond, is launching our first class IN-PERSON group prenatal class: Empowered Postpartum!
This class will take place on Saturday, March 8th from 1:00-3:00 PM at the brand new Tribeca Pediatrics in Valhalla.
Empowered Postpartum is designed to provide expectant parents with the knowledge and skills they need to have a smooth & confident transition to parenthood, feeding however it is they need!
This class will be taught by Guramrit LeBron, IBCLC, a birth and postpartum doula, a co-owner of Ashe Birthing Services & The Bridge Directory, and one of Ora's passionate International Board Certified Lactation Consultants.
In this two-part class, we'll cover a variety of topics, including:
Part I: Lactation & Infant Feeding
🍼What to expect the first week of life
🍼What you can do to prepare for breastfeeding / bodyfeeding, pumping & bottle feeding
🍼What do you actually need to support your feeding journey
🍼How to read your baby's feeding cues & recognize challenges that require help
Part II: Newborn Care Basics
🐣How to soothe your baby (including techniques such as babywearing)
🐣How to establish safe sleep practices & TummyTime
🐣How to diaper, burp & hold your baby
🐣How to implement basic newborn hygiene (e.g. bathing, umbilical cord care, nasal hygiene, etc.)
