About Kelly Ifill

Kelly Ifill is the founder and CEO of Guava, a platform that equips financial institutions with the tools and insights they need to support and grow their minority-owned business customers. This builds on Kelly’s mission to help close the racial wealth gap and foster a more equitable financial ecosystem.

Kelly's professional journey began as an educator and leader in the New York City public school system. Her multifaceted career also includes leadership positions at IBM, GE, and Bank of America. Following these roles, Kelly joined theIn the venture capital sector, where she saw firsthand the significant challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs across various industries. This fueled her commitment to drive change and led to the founding of Guava.

Kelly has been recognized as one of “52 Black women who raised $1 million or more in VC funding since 2021” by Insider, listed among “five Black founders working to make the financial system more equitable” by Inc., and honored as a Crain’s New York 40 Under 40 laureate.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Baruch College, an MA in Education in Mathematics from St. John’s University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
