About this Event
This event highlights the importance of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in startups. Vera (Impact Hub Berlin) and Rea (IN-VISIBLE) will discuss the challenges and opportunities of implementing DEI strategies in rapidly growing, budget-conscious startups.
The focus will be on how startups can consider DEI from the beginning, the potential pitfalls, and what they should pay particular attention to. Following the discussion, there will be an open Q&A session and networking opportunity.
Impact Hub Berlin will take care of you by providing some finger food and drinks. This event is open for people of all genders from within and outside of the Impact Hub Berlin community.

About Rea
Rea Eldem (she/they) is an entrepreneur and gender equity advisor with organizations including Jägermeister, Trivago and the BMW Foundation. As the founder of IN-VISIBLE, Rea has build a company that facilitates transformation processes with regards to diversity, equity and inclusion. Rea was raised in Germany, Japan and Hong Kong and studied Gender Studies degree at the University of Cambridge before founding IN-VISIBLE in Berlin.
About Vera
Vera Kämpfer (she/her) has been with Impact Hub Berlin for 8 years and has built, implemented and evaluated over 40 programmes around social and sustainable innovation. At the moment, she is leading the topic of DEI at Impact Hub Berlin and has created a support programme for FLINTA* founders in collaboration with an intersectional advisory board of FLINTA* professionals called Empower Now, to provide the participants with the necessary business and mental health support they need along their startup journey. Vera has degrees in Business with a focus on Investment Finance and European Management.
About Empower Now
Empower Now in partnership with TikTok supports young FLINTA* (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans* and agender) individuals and allies from the DACH region to develop entrepreneurial ideas that lead to positive change on a systemic level. The programme was built up in collaboration with an advisory board and SEND e.V.
