EMPOWER Coaching Academy for People Managers

EMPOWER Coaching Academy is designed for people managers, HR professionals, mentors, and anyone dealing with people who want to:

• Be exceptional in their ability to engage and communicate.
• Build deep trusted relationships.
• Apply deep emotional intelligence with coaching skills to hold brilliant conversations.

The programme combines the most recent research and current thinking with practical tools and techniques. Over three months you will be immersed in exercises, practice and scenarios that will build your confidence and capability.

Throughout EMPOWER you will participate in activities to grow your understanding of and increase your confidence in delivering coaching.

On completion of EMPOWER managers will confidently be able to:

• Seize the moment in every workplace conversation to provide development opportunities for their teams in real-time, navigate difficult or sensitive conversations, and providing actionable and constructive feedback to employees.
• Understand personal communication style and impact engage and how to engage other styles or personalities in more meaningful conversations.
• Use coaching frameworks to engage and inspire your people with purpose and clear goals aligned to the organisation and empower you people to bring their best selves to work every day.
• Use a coaching approach to have sensitive and difficult conversations.
• Hone deep listening skills during coaching conversation to enable use of powerful questions during coaching sessions to effectively reach positive outcomes.
• Tap into a community of coaches to support on-going professional development.
• Use this programme as a steppingstone to an Institute of Leadership Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring by completing coaching practice and an assignment
• Each manager will receive a DiSC profile psychometric report that will build their self awareness and equip them with the tools to work more effectively with others

Beyond EMPOWER

Managers can use their learning via the EMPOWER programme to progress to a qualification (Institute of Leadership Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and mentoring.) In additional to completing the EMPOWER programme, the certification requires managers to successfully complete the following:

• 18 hours of workplace based coaching practice.
• Approximately 4 hours of guided learning consisting of reading and podcast/video-based materials.
• A 5,000-word assignment.

Think People will provide 3 hours of 1:1 coaching support for managers to achieve the qualification. In testament to the quality of support Think People provides, we have a 100% pass rate for participants achieving their qualifications through Think People.
