Each week, in engaging 3-hour sessions, we'll cover a range of essential topics, including the financial benefits of employment, crafting standout resumes and cover letters, navigating job applications, mastering interviews, and elevating your professional presentation. With a total of 5 sessions, this workshop series is your comprehensive guide to enhancing your employability and achieving your career goals.

Bring your current resume and cover letter or collaborate with us to create one from scratch. We will also discuss strategies in addressing your gaps in employment due to period of incarceration. We will also have a guest speaker from Power in You Project.

We will dive into the advantages and the financial impact of employment, fostering independence and financial freedom. We will cultivate a positive mindset towards employment, focusing on skill development, increased confidence, and enhanced capabilities.

Step-by-step demonstration of online job applications, including where to find job listings on various social media platforms. We will also discuss how to talk to potential employers about your criminal record.

We’ll engage in hands-on practice of effective interview techniques, covering the dos and dont's and the tricks & tips to use when referring to your criminal record.

Dress for success and gain insights into what to wear to a job interview. We will explore essential aspects of interview etiquette, including punctuality, handshakes, addressing panel interviews, the use of cheat sheets, and asking questions during interviews.
