Sexual harassment: prevention is key
If you employ or engage staff, or intend to do so in the future, this session is highly relevant to you. The recent changes concerning sexual harassment shine a greater spotlight on employers and what they are doing to prevent workplace sexual harassment.
Fuelled by the #MeToo movement, this area of law is only set to grow and evolve with further changes on the horizon. Get ahead of the curve by learning what practical measures employers should have in place to prevent sexual harassment and what to do in the event of a complaint.
The session will be led by Kate Walsh, an experienced employment lawyer at Carbon Law Partners and Cardiff University teacher. You can expect practical tips, mini case studies and the latest research together with:
- A comparison of the pre and post October changes.
- How employers may shift the focus from reactive responses to preventative measures.
- How to manage complaints appropriately.
- What are the consequences for failing to comply with the new duty.
- A closer look at the EHRC’s powers following an investigation.
