About this Event
SacVERG's mission is to build a bridge from local employers to the Veteran community.
The Employer Summit goal is to gather Sacramento/Yolo area employers in building a collaborative network to help hire and support local veterans and their families.
We will educate, inspire and encourage you to understand the values and impact veterans can bring to your company for a more diverse and talent pool of employees.
You will also have a chance to talk to community nonprofits who service veterans and learn more about their mission and potential partnerships or volunteering options.
This is a FREE event with an opportunity to network with other like-minded employers who are committed to hiring veterans. Some details include:

Our Keynote Speaker
Thomas McKenzie -Allegiant Giving
Thomas is going to talk about his purpose then (in military) and now and provide an inspirational start to our event.
Allegiant Giving is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans succeed in the civilian workforce. With a team of experts and a network of supportive employers, they offer a comprehensive suite of services and resources to help veterans transition from military to civilian life. From career counseling and job placement assistance to on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities, they are committed to empowering veterans to reach their full potential.
Our Webinar Sessions
You will have the opportunity to attend both webinars as you'll just switch between the 2 sessions. We will have speakers share some personal stories and talk about the myths surrounding veterans, the transferable skills and the values veterans provide to their civilian careers.
