The only 3-day fan convention event dedicated to the Cartoon Network program Steven Universe will host its fourth year at the Crowne Plaza Charlotte Executive Park.Completely fan-run, Empire City Con offers a weekend of family-friendly fun for Steven Universe fans across the globe. Programming includes music, workshops, gaming, vendors, and panels focusing on themes of family, the LGBTQ+ community, the animation industry, disability, and more.
Launched via Kickstarter in 2016 under the name "Beach City Con," the first two years of the event were held in Virginia Beach, VA. After the 2018 convention, founder and organizer K-K Bracken started her own company, Star Eyed Events, LLC, and relocated the event to Charlotte.
Early Pearl prices available 02/01 - 07/31, next round is 08/01 - 10/03, final round is 10/04 - 11/06. No sales at the door.
