About this Event
Large land grants in Bucks County were based on William Penn's land charter from King Charles II in 1681. Since then there have been several folks who built land "empires" in Bucks County within Penn's charter. David Johnson from the Land Trust of Bucks County has been researching these individuals and putting together how, why and what became of their legacies and ultimately were their empires preserved. Lowell Birrell who succeeded financially in mysterious ways has one of the most interesting stories of this land acquisition topic. Come join us for a talk and learn how this area was developed by the Empire Builders.
