Event Information:
The Emperor and the Nightingale, based on Hans Christian Anderson's enchanting fairytale. Set in the Emperor's Ancient palace, where exquisite dancers with painted fans and parasols - and exotic birds color the Oriental gardens, this ballet tells the story of a Princess transformed into a Nightingale by an evil Sorceress. The Sorceress distracts the Emperor with a mechanical Golden Nightingale but, the Emperor's broken heart can only be healed by the beautiful song of the true Nightingale.
