Breathwork is a tool thats been used for centuries to help people on their spiritual and healing path. Today we are able to utilize different techniques to release past trauma, energy blocks, and regulate our emotions. The breathwork that we will be doing in the emotional release session is a continuous circlular breathing called CCB (Consious Connected Breathing). This is an inhale into the belly than chest and then exhale from belly and chest. Without any pauses on your inhales or exhales but a continuous cycle, usually set at a faster pace.
Some of you familiar with breathwork may ask what is the difference between emotional release breathwork and holotropic or shamanic breathwork? The answer is that the core breathwork practice is the same but how each method goes about facilitating the breathwork is different.
During this session, the facilitator helps guide you through the process of the breathwork cycle while providing support and reiki energy clearing. The breathwork is combined with a sound journey; music cultivated by the facilitator to enhance and guide you as you are breathing. The breathwork lasts 30-40 minutes, depending on the participants. And we end with a short grounding and heart centering meditation and sound bath, lasting 20 minutes.
