Understanding yourself and others is a foundational skill for building great working relationships and emotional intelligence is essential when approaching feedback conversations. The ability to recognise when people are performing well, or need additional support builds a positive workplace culture. Identifying behaviours that could change and offering improvement feedback helps teams continually improve and innovate.
This session will focus on increasing your emotional intelligence to equip you to be self-aware and successfully engage in constructive feedback conversations while understanding how to manage challenges that may arise.
Learning outcomes
Following the program participants will be able to:
- Explain the importance of EI in today’s environment
- Identify how EI relates to them and how they relate to others
- Manage emotions when giving and receiving feedback
- Establish a plan for behaviour change
