Come out and help us begin the prep and idea generation process for the first section of the community food forest at Emma Wheeler Homes! We're going to be transforming a currently weedy and overgrown back lot area adjacent to the existing community garden into a demonstration food forest site; we'd love help in cleaning out the trash that has accumulated there as well as your ideas and perspectives on what kinds of plants and trees would work in the space, while meeting with the community gardeners who have been managing the garden space nearby. Gloves and tools for brush clearing will be a plus- depending on turn out some folks will focus on the food forest site, while others can help with some infrastructuer work in the community garden. If you're just interested in coming out to see what's going on and to meet community gardeners at Emma Wheeler that's wonderful too!
