Following the disbandment of The Delgados, the band Emma co-founded, she released her solo debut Watch The Fireworks on 4AD in 2007. Returning to Chemikal Underground, the label she formed with her former bandmates, for her next solo outing The Law of Large Numbers in 2010, Emma picked up more plaudits for her unique brand of lavishly lyrical songwriting and In Search of Harperfield was released to universal acclaim in 2016.
