A Stutter-Affirming Approach to Goal Setting
30$ at the door for SLP Professionals. Students, persons who stutter, and families are free.
If you are an SLP and still confused about what goals to target with your clients who stutter, then this workshop is for you. We SLPs know how challenging it can be writing goals that best serve your client whether you work in a school, hospital, or in a private practice, but uniting together to write stutter-affirming and acceptance-based goals to support your client and their families will cross over to all settings. We will learn how to improve our communication about goals with our clients and their families, as well as improving how to write client-focused goals that are both evidence-and acceptance-based. This workshop will be interactive, so please come prepared to share your questions and stories, and you will leave with a new-found appreciation of goal-writing! Join Emily Root, MA, CCC-SLP as we navigate goal-writing together, with our ultimate goal to better aid in empowering our clients who stutter.
