☆ Inspired by the great jazz vocalists like Nat King Cole, Chet Baker and Harry Connick Jr, Emil Otto is an original songwriter. In spite of his young age, he’s combining both respect and knowledge of the great American crooner heritage with a more modern Scandinavian songwriting tradition.
☆ Experience both Emil Otto's original compositions as well as classics from the Great American Songbook, when his international Quintet, full of some of the most talented young musicians around Europe, swings out at Charlies Scotts Bar during the CPH Jazz Festival.
☆ The young charming soloist is set to release a significant and ambitious debut record in fall 2022. A mix of orchestra, big band and different smaller format arrangements of 10 songs - 7 of them being originals written and arranged by himself, Johannes Hieronymus and Jonathan Bruun Meyer.
☆ A group of handpicked musicians features on this record, which will also see guest appearances from renowned stars like Martina DaSilva (US), Karmen Rõivassepp (EE) and Jakob Sørensen (DK).
