The public service & society keep changing... Our conference's speakers will share tips & strategies so we can navigate it better!
Public sector organizations are experiencing new forms of change and new challenges in workplace culture, service delivery and citizen expectations, in addition to the shifting landscapes both inside and outside of the public sector. New challenges call for new approaches and solutions! Let's explore some of them together!
Join the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) Toronto Region at the Bay Adelaide Centre on January 24, 2024 for the Emerging Leaders Conference centered around the theme “Navigating the Changing Spaces and Faces of Public Service”.
The Emerging Leaders Conference aims to equip early-to-mid career public sector professionals with the skills and practical know-how, in particular through hands-on workshops & networking, to successfully navigate the changing nature of the public sector.
By attending the conference, you will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in two small group discussions led by a subject matter expert on two topics or subject matter areas of your choice;
- Learn about the demographic changes in the last 5 years in the GTHA's public sector & their implications on our organizations, based on insights from a data-driven project undertaken by IPAC Toronto and the Ontario Municipal Human Resources Association (OMHRA);
- Gain tangible strategies for enhancing our workplace culture in a hybrid work model;
- Learn about how AI can be used in our daily work in the public service and the ethical considerations when considering using AI;
- & more !
Conference will be held in-person and live-streamed for virtual attendees. In-person attendees will be served breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
Venue has limited capacity. Please register ASAP to reserve your spot.
The early-bird price for in-person participation is $76.
