This two-day residential course covers the practical application of first aid in an outdoor environment. It is particularly suitable for leaders of groups such as teachers or youth leaders who are likely to find themselves in outdoor or remote locations.A two day or 16 hour syllabus is the benchmark requirement for most National Governing Body Awards such as Mountain leader, BCU coach, RYA Instructor, Forest School Leader etc.
The practical nature of the course allows plenty of time to practice hands on and thereby develop a greater level of confidence in skills newly learnt. We place a strong emphasis on a realistic approach to first aid.
There is an element of assessment within the course in order to gain a certificate to display competence at the required level. No previous experience is required.
The course cost includes all instruction, accommodation and course materials.
All Devon Outdoor Learning First Aid courses are presented in conjunction with Mountain Medicine Ltd. (H.S.E Reg No. 991/91).
