Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Training
Join us for a practical Emergency First Aid at Work Training session at the Point 4 Centre, Hereford.
Course information:
Learn emergency first aid skills from a qualified and engaging instructor, Simon, from Hereford First Aid with course content covering:
+ The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
+ Assessing an incident
+ Managing an unresponsive casualty
+ CPR and defibrillation
+ Recovery Position
+ Choking
+ Seizures
+ Shock
+ Wounds and bleeding
+ Minor injuries
+ Cuts, grazes and bruises
+ Minor burns and scalds
Certification
Practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor, and a three year certification, accredited by Qualsafe will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria.
In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of three hours.
Course details:
This course will take place on Saturday 6th July 2024.
Time: 09.30 am-4.30pm (including a lunch break).
Classroom-based attendance
Deadline for bookings is Friday 14th June 2024 @ 12 noon.
Places are limited so if you can commit to attending, early booking is recommended.
Minimum age Requirement: 16+
Please note, learners who are aged between 16-17 years will require a chaperone, who is not attending the course. Chaperones will not receive a certificate of attendance, please see UK Coaching chaperone guidelines here as a guideline of the chaperone expectations.
Cost: This course is valued at approx. £95 and has been fully subsidised* by Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire as an investment in people operating in the sports industry across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Eligibility: This is aimed at people operating out of Herefordshire and Worcestershire who are working in, or wanting to work in the sport or physical activity industry, or are supporting people in a volunteer-based role.
Applicants operating from, or living within Herefordshire and Worcestershire will be prioritised if places sell out. People from outside the region can apply if they are able to travel to and from the venue and are committed to attend, but may be placed on a waiting list if capacity is reached. You will be contacted to advise if this happens.
Cancellation:
As this course is being funded by Active HW, so please only book on if you can commit to attending the session, so as not to take up a space as they are limited. If you do need to cancel please let us know as soon as you are able, so that we can re-allocate the place.
