Back by request, the green gems are coming to Puckett’s to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the venue’s Chattanooga residency. About the artists:
Emerald Butler is an accomplished Country fiddler and singer-songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee. From fiddling for other artists to fronting her own band, Emerald combines traditional country sounds with the joys and challenges of modern-day life. She has toured nationally with acts like Piano Rock’n Jason D. Williams and hit songwriter Roger Alan Wade. Emerald has performed on the stage of The Grand Ole Opry, the historic Surf Ballroom, and she has most recently recorded at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.
Jade Watts is the music teacher at Daisy Elementary in Soddy-Daisy, TN. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Maryville College, her full Kodaly Certification from KIUTC, and a Master’s degree in Music Education for Peacebuilding from Elizabethtown College. She is the bassist and vocalist for regionally acclaimed folk group The New Quintet, and celebrated duo, Emerald & Jade. Jade believes music education has the power to help children strengthen their identity and grow into adults who celebrate and support the best in each other.
