Amy is a self taught embroiderer, who creates beutifully detailed embroideries from her home studio in East Lothian.

Amy began creating textiles in 2014 with weaving and embroidery being front and centre. With a passion for exploring texture in nature, Amy creates scenes from her garden and the coast where she lives as well as sewing detailed birds, butterflies, moths and bees and making them as life-like as possible. Her work uses a host of traditional stitches to make the details pop out of the fabric.
