About this Event
Join Madeline, our resident subversive embroiderer, to learn embroidery basics. First we'll practice stitching, and then you'll embroider your own piece, with one-on-one assistance from Madeline as needed.
In this workshop, you will:
- choose your hoop size
- choose your fabric and embroidery thread
-learn these stitches: back stitch, straight stitch, lazy daisy, and french knot
- practice on scrap fabric
- set up your hoop to create your own take-home art
- receive classroom and one-on-one instruction as needed
- leave with your finished art, or at least a started embroidery piece and the skills and tools you need to finish!
All materials provided (and snacks, of course!). No experience necessary.
Reservations required. No kids. Workshops are refundable up to 72 hours in advance. 1 spot is for 1 person unless otherwise noted.
Email [email protected] with questions.

COVID note:
We are opening 6 seats in this class, and all guests plus the teacher will be seated around a 10 foot x 5 foot table. Embroidery happens on a small scale, and sometimes you may need to get close to the teacher Madeline to see what she's doing or get guidance. To protect our teachers and guests, vaccination (unless medically exempt) and masks are required.
Looking for a private event?
