The WorkshopYour tutor, Julie, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “Using Vintage wool blankets, lace, and buttons come and join me to make a lovely keepsake heart to keep or give on a special occasion, using basic embroidery stitches to personalise your heart to celebrate family, weddings, new baby, christenings etc.”
Embroidery is a slow, mindful craft, reflecting care and dedication, much like the nurturing of family relationships. The heart shape symbolises love, making this a much treasured heirloom.
If you have time, and would like to, you can also embroider a beautiful little hanger, with any other memory you hold dear.
This special crafting day offers a gentle space to share memories, celebrate your family stories, and connect with new friends along the way.
What to bring on the day?

Specific to this workshop:
Reading glasses if you need them.
Your own lunch or some money to buy something from either the hot-food hut nearby or the small local Asda. We will be providing drinks and home-made biscuits throughout the day.
What skills are needed?
No experience is necessary. The day involves sewing with embroidery needles and threads and use of scissors. This takes some fine motor dexterity but can be adapted to suit all abilities.
How many places are available?
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size is limited to 8.
What are the timings?
This is a relaxed, feel-good full-day running from 10am to 4pm.
Our purple front door will be open from 9.30am so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Julie and your fellow crafters and grab a cuppa before you start.
What is the cost?
£73 + £1.37 card fee. This includes all the materials needed to make your special heart, hanger and refreshments during the day (excluding lunch)
