"Embracing LOVE in the Food System" offered in Seattle!WHAT: The program is a six-week intensive to reimagine the food system through the lens of Food Sovereignty. Any individuals (16+) interested in having loving relationships with land, animals, fish, plants, farm workers, food workers, and fisher folk, as well as Mother Earth, are invited to join. At the end, participants will be ready to take concrete actions towards contributing to a thriving local and global food economy!
WHEN: The program starts on October 1, and ends November 12th
HOW: Every Wednesday, you will receive carefully curated reading materials and videos on that week’s theme. Zoom conversations will take place the following Tuesday evenings during weeks 1, 2, 4 and 5. The other weeks you will gather at the CAGJ office on Beacon Hill in Seattle (Kick-off Oct 1, weeks 3 and 6) for community building and skills development.
HOW MUCH: The program is offered on a sliding scale, from $100 to $250, which helps to cover labor, venue & printing costs. Payment will be requested once registration is full, between September 26 and 30. Any additional gift or donation is greatly appreciated! In addition, two community solidarity “pay what you can” spots are offered, first-come-first served.
