
About this Event
Join us at Yoga Amansala for a gentle and restorative movement session designed to nurture self-love and compassion, especially for those on a sober journey. Kanika Verma will guide us through intentional movement, breathwork, and guided reflection, we will explore ways to release self-judgment, embrace self-kindness, and reconnect with our bodies in a supportive space.
This session will include guided movement exercises, partner work, and a moment for relaxation and journaling. No prior movement experience is needed—just come as you are, with an open heart and a willingness to explore 💛✨
We'll meet in the studio at 1:30 pm and there will be free blank journals with a prompt card for those that want them. Herbal tea will be served and there are some available props in the studio: blankets, yoga mats, water, and bolsters.
Optional personal things to bring: Comfortable clothing, water bottle, yoga mat, journal.
There is free street parking nearby on Sundays. The closest parking Garage is at 1416 Oak St.
Afterward, for those inclined, we'll head next door to Julie's for a quick cup of tea and a chat.
Facilitator: Kanika Verma, is a certified Les Mills BodyBalance Instructor, movement practitioner, and wellness facilitator with over 5 years of experience in holistic wellness programs. With a background in Dance Movement Therapy, she practices mindful movements and crafts pathways for holistic wellness, fostering physical vitality, emotional balance, and mindfulness.
Her approach is rooted in the belief that movement is a powerful tool for self-healing and personal growth. Having facilitated programs for diverse groups, including corporate teams, nonprofits, and students, Kanika brings a warm, inclusive, and empowering energy to every
session.
