Introduction:
Interpersonal relationships are often marked by difficulties in sensing one's own body and emotions, communicating them and expressing them authentically. This can lead to a loss of connection not only with others but also with oneself. The workshop "Feeling is Living" offers an integrated experience that uses the body as a primary tool to explore own emotions, self-contact and shifting boundaries with others, fostering an authentic expression of self.
Workshop Objectives:
- Embodied Integration: Recognize and experience the body as a space for self-exploration, where contact with others becomes a fluid and conscious experience.
- Relational Authenticity: Explore authentic contact with oneself and others, investigating personal boundaries and empathy towards others.
- Awareness and Presence: Enhance awareness of the present moment through guided meditation, facilitating the integration of bodily, emotional, and mental experiences.
- Psychophysical Balance: Listen deeply a body and release the physical tensions, promoting psychophysical well-being that integrates body, mind, and emotions.
Methodology and Tools Used:
- Gestalt Therapy: In a group setting, Gestalt therapy facilitates the emergence of self through experiences based on contact with others in creative expression. Participants are guided to explore their "sensing" of the body with its boundaries as a process of meeting and separation, creating continuous "flow," experiencing presence in “here and now” as an opportunity to discover something new about the relationship with oneself and others. Through experiential exercises, greater awareness of how the body, thoughts, and emotions are interconnected and communicate with each other is promoted, facilitating a process of the integration and transformation.
- Guided Meditation: Meditation will be used to facilitate entering a state of presence and centering, allowing participants to explore their body, empathy, and boundaries in a deeper and more conscious way.
Workshop Program:
- Introduction and Welcome: Introduction to the concept of contact and boundaries in Gestalt Therapy and body work.
- Body Experience and Boundaries: Body awareness exercises focused on contact and defining personal boundaries in relation to others.
- Guided Meditation Session: Meditation practice to develop greater body awareness and promote integration of lived experiences.
- Closure and Sharing: Reflection and sharing of the lived experience, with space for questions and further exploration.
